Commercial & Architectural Photography in the San Francisco Bay Area & Beyond
Welcome. My name is Brandon Buza, and I’m a commercial photographer based in San Francisco, California. Photography has been central to my life since studying at UCLA more than 20 years ago. Paid work followed soon after, along with countless opportunities to capture buildings, spaces, people, and moments—experiences that have been as meaningful to me as they have been to my clients. Primarily I work throughout the nine county Bay Area—from Sonoma to Santa Clara—but travel on assignment nationwide.
Raised in Minnesota and Oregon, I come from a family deeply connected to the arts. From painters and sculptors to woodworkers, my creative sensibilities are rooted in the generations before me. Along the way, I’ve served on boards at institutions including the Orange County Museum of Art and the Irvine Museum, experiences that broadened my perspective and led to meaningful interactions with artists, curators, and collectors.
Today, I photograph a wide range of subjects, with a primary focus on architectural imagery spanning commercial and luxury residential projects. My work emphasizes modern design, geometric structure, and the interplay of light and shadow—most often in urban environments.
I’m naturally curious, a trait that has proven invaluable in connecting with subjects, clients, and collaborators. Selected clients include Intuit, Chobani, CBRE, Presidio Bay, Eastdil Secured, Gap Foundation, Jones Lang LaSalle, Anchor Steam, Junior League of San Francisco, Hines, Vornado, University of Southern California, Colliers, Metropolitan Transportation Commission (CA), Adventurous Journeys, City of Milwaukee (WI), The Bread Lab at Washington State University, SFGATE, The Perfect Loaf, Sares-Regis Group, Newmark, Bourbon Plus Magazine, Subtle Spirits, and the American Cider Association.
